Meet Catherine Gopal

Catherine holds a degree in Interior Design from the University of Georgia's Lamar Dodd School of Art. After graduation, Catherine moved to Tallahassee, where she currently resides with her husband and three boys. After six years working in various roles in the interior design field, Catherine launched Augustine Interiors in 2024. She believes in the beauty of imperfection, the importance of comfort, and the joy that a well-designed home can bring to all who live in it.

Our Story

Named after Catherine's grandmother, Augustine Howell Anderson, our firm is rooted in southern tradition. Memories of painting in her studio, learning how to make biscuits and apple pie alongside her, and afternoons spent among the fruit trees and flowers in her garden are still vivid many years later. Her love of beauty and creative talents were passed down to so many in her family. We are proud to have her name representing our firm as we strive to create homes for our clients full of memories similar to the ones made with her.

Our Design Approach

Catherine aspires to design homes that are elegant, inviting, and collected. A home that feels thought about and loved, but not staged. One that the client is proud to have as a backdrop to every day life and their family's more special moments. She works to achieve this goal through the use of quality pieces, well-planned layouts and appropriate use of scale. By selecting fabrics, colors, and art that infuse personality into the home, she delicately adds an element of whimsy and unexpected that will captivate your interest and inform your understanding of the homeowner. We always strive to leave our client with a home that is both timeless and full of life.
